The Freeride 38 introduces W, comfortable W, to the short wheelbase freeride market. Starting our W far enough back to avoid impeding pushing but still far enough forward to feel it took more rounds of prototyping than we would like to recall. In the end we think we hit on something that adds a fun twist to your shorter urban freeride deck.
While not ideal for freestyle (WConcave detracts from freestyle durability by increasing stiffness in the center of the deck), the Freeride 38 WConcave will do it when asked. That said, the Freeride 38 WC really hits it's stride with shorter riders on steeper hills providing a pocket perfectly suited to a smaller stance. If you are a shorter rider hitting Freeride 80% of the time and freestyle 20% the Freeride 38 WConcave provides a unique opportunity to jump on a board perfectly styled for you. Taller riders looking to for a shorter freestyle deck should look to the Freeride 38 RockerConcave or to the Freeride 41 RockerConcave for a longer Freestyle option.
